I dreamt that I was in a large hotel, I left my hotel room to go visit my mom’s hotel room in another floor, I asked if my sister was there and she wasn’t, I asked if my gay friend Dan was there and he wasn’t, I asked if my friend Dan had married my friend Flor de Lys, who in the dream happened to be mi ex girlfriend, and she said he did not marry her at the end. I was disappointed since I wanted to be with her and she choose to be with him and in the end he didn’t love her and they didn’t stayed together. My mom’s hotel room seemed a little dark, and there were some boxes on the couch, in between the boxes I saw my cousin Joshua, I said hi and he said hi, my mom said he was hanging out there because he didn’t want to be alone. The hotel room felt lonely and I told my mom that I was surprised that people weren’t there, she said that it was because they were all going out moving on with their lives. I said I would go find my sister, and I heard an alarm, I asked if that was an alarm of the hotel to say people shouldn’t be out of their rooms because of quiet hours. She said yes, and I felt scared about leaving the room, but I looked in the door little fish eye and I saw people were outside walking in the halls, so I decided to leave the room. I saw guests carrying their luggage, others just walking in the halls. I looked for the elevator and head downstairs, I ended up being in a floor that had stores and there was the police in there, I tried to be quiet and walk unnoticed, then I felt anxious and wanted to go back to my room. I was lost, I didn’t know where my room was. So I called my mom to ask for her room number and my friend Jenny from Guatemala picked up the phone and said “oh I thought you didn’t talk to your mom Anymore” what do you need? And I hung up. I was looking in emails on my phone trying to find my room number and just had old emails with my old room number from years ago, I then looked for a picture of my room number and saw a long number but still didn’t remember how to get there. Then I woke up.
Your dream is rich with symbolism and reflects various aspects of your emotional state and relationships in your waking life. Here’s a detailed interpretation:
A hotel often symbolizes transitions, temporary states, or a phase in life. In your dream, the large hotel may signify feelings of being at a crossroads or navigating changes in your relationships and personal life. The different floors represent various levels of emotional experiences or stages in your life.
Your search for your mother, sister, and friends illustrates a deep desire for connection and support. The absence of your sister and friend Dan could indicate feelings of loneliness or alienation, particularly from those you once felt close to.
The inclusion of Flor de Lys, your ex-girlfriend, marks unresolved feelings and perhaps regret. You mention wanting to be with her, indicating that there might be lingering emotions or unfulfilled desires from that relationship. Your disappointment about Dan not marrying her suggests a wish for certain relationships to unfold differently, reflecting feelings of jealousy, loss, or a sense of betrayal.
The darkness in your mother’s hotel room may symbolize feelings of uncertainty or sadness. It could indicate aspects of your life that feel unresolved or relationships that do not provide the light and comfort you seek. The boxes could represent emotional baggage or unresolved issues you are currently dealing with.
Your cousin’s presence, along with his desire not to be alone, points to the human need for companionship. It suggests a shared experience of loneliness that might resonate with you, emphasizing the importance of connecting with family or friends during challenging times.
The alarm signifies a warning or an anxiety about venturing out into the world. It may reflect your concerns about stepping outside of your comfort zone or fear of the unknown. The hotel room symbolizes safety and familiarity, while the outside world signifies the unpredictability of life.
Feeling lost in the hotel and trying to find your room number represents a search for direction in your life. You might feel disoriented about your current emotional landscape or unsure about your place in your relationships. The anxiety you experience signifies a deep-seated fear of not knowing where you belong or how to reclaim what feels lost.
Jenny’s unexpected response indicates a judgment or an unresolved issue related to your relationship with your mother. This interaction is significant as it could represent your inner conflict about reconciling family ties and the perception of your social circle. It may also suggest that there are misconceptions or challenges in your relationships that need addressing.
Searching through old emails signifies introspection and the need to reflect on past experiences. The inability to find your current room number echoes a struggle to connect with your past self or situations that currently define you, suggesting a longing to make sense of past decisions.
Overall, this dream highlights your emotional struggles with relationships, the desire for connection, and feelings of uncertainty as you navigate through life's transitions. It urges you to explore these feelings, address any unresolved issues, and ultimately seek a clearer path forward in your personal and emotional life.
